Shoe Troupe was founded in 1999 in various suburban living
rooms and high school classes by Jon Schubin and Harith Abdullah. The group has included a plethora of musicians over the years,
and have always worked hard to make engaging and unexpected sound collages. Calling the group's music "Art Rock" would be too
easy; they prefer to say "we sound like if Phil Spector were a preschool teacher."
The Troupe currently counts Schubin, Abdullah, and Wendy Cullings as its full-time members. Their most recent release,
Dzong, was recorded in February 2010 as part of the
RPM Challenge. It is now available for free download through the
Rev Records webstore.
